“Saying goodbye to paper 8125/8017 forms” deals with one of the apparent and possible benefits of Full Service to the industry, i.e., removal of paper 8125 and 8017 forms from the verification and induction business processes. This removal of paper 8125/8017 could be accomplished for any type of mailing, i.e., Full service, basic service, auto, non-auto etc as long as basic electronic documentation requirements are followed, the pallets are bar-coded uniquely, and FAST appointments are created electronically with the content barcode data. This solution was first discussed in MTAC 93 several years ago and is getting attention and priority from mailers and the USPS in recent months. The program or concept is also known as “eInduction” or “eDropShip”.
