This page is dedicated to the USPS FAST artifacts, to help customers understand the FAST® usage and the technical implementation. This page provides the necessary information all in one place for the FAST® customers interested in appointment management and in the USPS intelligent mail / Full Service compliance.
The USPS FAST system is the main business application supporting management of drop ship and origin entered appointments and support for Customer Supplier Agreements for the intelligent mail / Full Service price options . The FAST system has two interfaces, one is an online version available through http://fast.usps.com where customers can manually create, update, cancel appointments, download CSAs and get their closeout and other reports. The other USPS FAST interface works with the IDEAlliance Mail.XML specification through the business customer data exchange system, i.e, the PostalOne! system. The USPS FAST Mail.XML interface allows mailers to automate appointment and content management processes for the intelligent mail / Full Service program, removes manual data entry and labor hours at the customer end and improves resource management and service of delivery at the USPS end. This Mail.XMl interface is near real time, automated, and bi-directional communication between the mailers and USPS computers.
